Kiroku Tensha Holidays: A Very Merry Christmas To All!

Cheers Peeps! Merry Christmas!

First of all, this is the very first Christmas Blog post that I will be writing, so I am a bit excited to do this, actually. Let us get on with it then.

I was really raring to write this one down and had a target date of posting it exactly on the eve of Christmas, but Alas! The Christmas Rush just caught up with me and then followed by the Christmas hangover and this post was pushed down and had been delayed a little. So anyway, how did my Christmas go? Read On...

#Eckogram - Aces & Eights

Hey! In case that you have (or haven't) noticed, there was a little drought of posts lately and I apologize for that. The good thing is, I am back again with another post - in this case, another one for my ongoing photo diary - Eckogram. Let us not waste time and keep the ball rolling now, shall we?

Roadblock!? Im going to get Through This!

First things first, I gotta apologize for the lack of posts these past few weeks. I know, I know..It seems like before that loooong GAP of posts, it looks like I am on a roll, doing blog posts regularly. To be honest, that is the way that I really wanted it to be.

However, there is a saying that "sometimes life does not turn out the way you want it" and that could not be more true with how things turned out to be in the last few weeks.

#Eckogram - Seventh Heaven

Good Day peeps, It is the first week of the last month of the year, December. The Christmas rush is to be expected in the next few weeks, but before that, let us first have another entry to my photo diary series. Without further ado, here it is.

"First Timer in The City of Pines" - Our Baguio Vacation (Day 3-B)

So, how did a 31-year-old first-timer fared in his recent fare to Baguio City?

Last time, I covered the first half of our third day of stay in the City of Pines. It was unfortunate that I had to split the post for the third day, but it cannot be helped since there is no argue that the 3rd day was our longest day in Baguio in terms of places that we visited, so I think the split was justifiable.

Moving on, the first half of the post for the third day covered our visit at the Strawberry Farms and our visit and subsequent trekking on Camp John Hay. Now, we will start the second half of the third day post in one of the places that my mom specifically wanted to visit at the camp - The Bell House.

"First Timer in The City of Pines" - Our Baguio Vacation (Day 3-A)

So, how did a 31-year-old first-timer fared in his recent fare to Baguio City?

In contrast to our first day in the City of Pines, we had a whole day of adventure on our second day as we had stops at Mines View Park, Wright Park, The Mansion, and Baguio Botanical Garden to name a few. For Day 3, we will take our visits a little bit farther as we go to a place outside Baguio City and then to a place with a very American-sounding name.

"First Timer in The City of Pines" - Our Baguio Vacation (Day 2)

So, how did a 31-year-old first timer fared in his recent fare to Baguio City?

In the first part of this feature of our vacation in Baguio City, it was shown that we chose to spend Day 1 of our trip by doing stopovers before going up to the City of Pines itself and just visiting places around the vicinity of Burnham Park when we got there. For Day 2, however, we picked up the pace and started things early as we have the "whole" day ahead of us.

To check out the first day of our trip, click HERE

Update!!! - The third part of this feature can be viewed HERE and HERE. Unfortunately, I had to split it up in two parts, but it is still a good read nonetheless.

#EffTheWin - The New Star Wars Trailer Awakened something in Me

"Kim Kardashian Who? If anything can break the internet, I think this STAR WARS trailer is what it is!"

Besides being a Doctor Who fan, I am also a BIG Star Wars fan. In fact, I can say that I am a Star Wars fan before I even became a Doctor Who fan.

I have watched all of the movies; the original trilogy and even the prequel trilogy and to be honest, I was a bit sad when George Lucas said that there was no more to the story beyond Episode VI (Return of the Jedi) back then. Fast forward to present time, Lucasfilm is now acquired by Disney and when it was announced that an Episode VII is in the works (with JJ Abrams of Star Trek fame directing), I just cannot help but feel excited.

#Eckogram - Power of the Sixth

It is the last week of November, peeps. Just a few days to go and we will officially enter the month of December, the last month of the year. Anyway, here is another entry on my ongoing photo diary; the sixth one to be exact.

"First Timer in The City of Pines" - Our Baguio Vacation (Day 1)

So, how did a 31-year-old first-timer fared in his recent fare to Baguio City?

If you can still remember, I said (in a couple of my previous blog posts) that I have never yet set foot on the City of Pines through my whole 31 years of existence. However, that streak was broken when we had a vacation in Baguio City for not just one, but THREE full days (4 days, 3 nights is the better way to put it).

This vacation happened last October 24, 2014 - October 27, 2014 with me and my family (wife and kid) together with my Mom, my Lil' Sis and her BF, and a niece of mine. Join me after the jump as I tell how this trip to the Summer Capital of the Philippines turned out for a not-so-young first timer like me.

More Like a Sonic "Precision" Screwdriver - The 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver Kit

"IMO, this thing should be called a Sonic "Precision" Screwdriver"

If you track back, I had a post some time ago about giving my little sister a "Doctor Who-related" gift. In that case, I gave her a Mini Light-Up TARDIS Kit (check that blog post HERE)

It seems to be that since we are Whovians, we cannot seem to get enough of Doctor Who stuff. I, for one, really wanted to have a "Sonic Screwdriver" replica of my own because I believe that besides the TARDIS,  the sonic screwdriver is the next iconic thing associated with the Doctor and Doctor Who itself. Problem is, Sonic Screwdriver replicas are rare and hard to find and to add to that, if you ever find one they are a little bit on the pricey side.

Fortunately, when I dropped by a newly opened hobby shop at our locale and while browsing at their lineup of Doctor Who merchandise, I saw the new stock of Running Press Mega Mini Kits and Lo and Behold, there is this Mini replica of the 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver in them.

For Allison Lenneth - On her 3rd Birthday

If you browse around the internet, most blog posts about greetings for a kid's birthday are written by Mothers. So, for a change, here is one written by a father, LoL!

"Don't blink! They'll be grown before you know it."

To my everdearest Allison Lenneth,

Before you were born, I always remember when people around me say that time flies by. Now that I am a dad, I experienced first-hand how that was true.

Before, I look at people like they are stupid when they tell me, "Don't blink! They'll be grown before you know it." However, come to think of it, those silly people (as I thought them to be) are right.

#Eckogram - The Egg-zoited Week

Hey Peeps! It’s a new week up ahead and so, it is time for a new “Eckogram” entry (Instagram Diary). Without further ado, here it is:

Back from the North

I’m back!

Back to Activities of Daily Living again

Hey peeps! After a few days of vacation, here I am again back in the City. Our vacation in Baguio was simply a Blast (although "Blast" is an understatement) that even if we stayed there for multiple days, I still feel kind of like “Bitin.” Sa totoo lang, parang ayoko na umuwi ng Manila, he he he.

October 23, 2014

October 22, 2014

Egg-zoited!!

"I was Born Ready! Yes!"

Add these three things up and tell me what you will get:

•    Baguio City and its currently COLD weather.
•    A 31-year-old man who has never been to Baguio since forever.
•    An upcoming getaway to Baguio City for THREE freakin’ days and nights.

That adds up to a very “Egg-zoited” person, Yes?

#Eckogram – My take on an Instagram Diary

"The biggest reason I ultimately decided to acquire an Android-powered smartphone - Instagram"

I can clearly remember it. It was the summer of 2012, my little sister showed us her new smartphone - an Android OS-powered one - and to be honest, I am really not keen into the Android bandwagon that time because I am contented using my Symbian-powered smartphone. However, my curiosity got the best of me and I borrowed my sis' phone and explored what this Android OS has to offer.

One application that my sis was using caught my attention and that application was the biggest reason I ultimately decided to acquire an Android-powered smartphone - Instagram.

Ever since then, I had been what you can call an "Instawhore" since I abused that application a LOT.

Fast forward to today, while checking on how many photos (that I uploaded on Instagram) was in my phone's storage, an idea sparked in me. With that amount of photo I am snapping and uploading on Instagram, I guess that dumping some of those to my blog/s on at least a weekly basis will be a good way to update, right? Kind of like, a Diary of Instagram photos of sorts.

Enthralled - How I became a "Doctor Who" fan (the reasons)..and will continue to be one for a long time

All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start?

As I have said in some of my posts, I am just a newly-converted Whovian (about nine months and counting) and in line with that, I will be writing this blog post as a (sort of) celebration of my conversion to the fandom and also, a look back at how I got to be hooked to the show in the first place.

#Yahtzee - 2000 Views...wait, make that 2001.

Hey! It has been a long time since I had a blog post, eh?

To be honest with you dear readers, I really have a lot of things that I want to post. Ideas and articles are really swelling in this head of mine for the past few weeks, but alas, time does not permit me to translate them all into meaty blog posts.

The culprit?

My demanding day job.

The TARDIS has landed at the Terraces – A visit at the Filbar’s Ayala Fairview Terraces Branch

“If you want a quick snap or “Selfie” with a life-sized TARDIS, then you gotta drop by at this Filbar’s Outlet!”

It is obvious (if you track back with my previous posts) that I am a Whovian and being one, what I would love to see and take pictures with are things that are related to the Doctor Who universe. On top of that list of course, is having a snap with a TARDIS replica, a BIG one specifically. Unfortunately, some of those can only be found when there are conventions of sorts and finding one is even a hit or miss on those conventions, so as bad as it may sound, it is basically hard to find one, let alone have a picture taken with one..

Well, not anymore, take a look at this picture below...

#WutTheEff - Six Words of Cat-astrophe: "Hello Kitty is not a Cat"

"with just six words...Aah!! Childhood Ruined!"

Hindi ako pusa...Wow, MALI!
When the character "Hello Kitty" is mentioned, what first comes to your mind? I am sure, this image pops out, first and foremost, outta your head:

Yep, Hello Kitty it is! A fictional character created by the Japanese Company, Sanrio, and designed by Yuko Shimizu. This character, since its inception in 1974, has been a global marketing phenomenon that spawned a lot of products that includes school supplies, fashion accessories, toys, apparel, and even high-end consumer products. It even had several TV series produced and has become a definite staple of Japanese popular culture.

Hello Kitty is indeed popular as I have known a lot of people that are enamored with this character and it ranges from all ages; from toddlers to even grown-up women. I have relatives, friends, and colleagues  alike who are obviously fans of this cute character. They cannot be at fault though; with the image of a Japanese Bobtail CAT with a red bow designed in a cute Chibi style, who can blame them.

...hold on, did I say "CAT?"

BABYMETAL - When Daughter's Poppy Tunes meets Daddy's Heavy Metal Music

"Babymetal's music is like fusing Sake with Sweet Bubblegum"

Can you imagine this: The Poppy Bubblegum J-Pop Idol Music fusing with Hard-Hitting Heavy Metal Music? Sounds impossible, right?...Wrong!

As of late, three teenage Japanese girls are taking on the music scene by giving a unique spin to Heavy Metal Music - fusing it with Japanese Teen Pop. Now, that is one hell of a take on one established genre don’t you think? This group’s name is “Babymetal.”

As "Kawaii" as this trio look, they definitely Rock!

The Doctor is In! The Old is the New

"As old as he may look, he is the NEW doctor"

Yes, I look OLD, but I feel NEW
In five days' time (or four, depending on your time zone), a new season or more appropriately, "Series", of the world's longest running science fiction television show - Doctor Who - will premiere. For a lot of Whovians (include me on that list), the long wait is over ever since the Christmas Special that ended the previous Series...

#WutTheEff - "Practice Lang, Drills, at Training" (The EPIC FAIL of Biblical Proportions that was the PLDT Last Home Stand)

"The Filipino (Basketball-Loving) Fans did not deserve this POS!"

If that promotional material does not look like a Basketball Game to you, then I do rest my case.

Oh man, The disaster last night, which is the PLDT Last Home Stand Fiasco?  Tsk tsk tsk, to quote a liquor commercial - Mahaba-habang usapan ito!

To tell you frankly, I am contemplating about writing a post about that unfortunate event because I am a basketball fan and therefore, things like what happened last night is something that I do not want to put in the internet, let alone write a blog post about.

#Yahtzee - Wow! 1500 Views! (another small Achievement)

July is proving to be a very busy month after all.

First of all, I gotta say that we, Filipinos, had overcome another challenge this past week after Glenda hit us hard (Imagine this, it has been a while since I experienced a Signal #3 in the Metro). My sympathies go out to those affected (especially in Quezon Province, the hometown of my momma). Knowing us, Filipinos, I am definitely sure, kahit anong unos pa ang tumama, kayang-kaya nating bumangon!

Okay, moving on to things, as one of my earlier posts say, "Views are hard to come by" especially for a very small blog like mine, so when earlier this week, I looked at the view counter and saw that my views are past the 1500+ barrier, I cannot help but feel elated.

Again, this post serves as a marker for that feat and again, another Thank You post to those who cared trudging and reading through this Blog O'Mine. You all have my sincere gratitude, again, Thanks a lot.

Thanks for another thousand views, Yahtzee!

Until next time,

Ciao!

Just a Gatorade...with Lionel Messi on it - The Gatorade Green Fury

First Post this July, folks!

Oh man, I have been too busy lately at work. As a result, blog posts are coming in slow. With this development, I will be trying my hand on Mobile Blogging using an app on my phone. This will be my first post using an app, so bear with me folks.

Now, let us see...what do we have here? Oh, for this post, I will be reviewing the recent addition to the Gatorade Thirst Quencher lineup, the Gatorade "Green Fury".

Ever since I saw the ad of this new flavor at my "suking" convenience store, I felt the urge to try this one up since one of my favorite stuff to drink in order to rehydrate myself is Gatorade (especially the Orange and Grape-flavored ones).

This Green Fury variant comes in a unique Kiwi flavor and as its name says, it is obviously a green-colored Gatorade. If you will inspect its packaging, the most noticeable aspect of it (as you can see on the picture above) is the image of Argentinian Football Superstar, Lionel Messi on the label (Since the release of this flavor coincides with the World Cup 2014, it makes sense to put him there.) Other than that, its shape and look is what would you expect from your other Gatorade variants.

The taste of this one is really unique.  I mean, I don't know about other people, but in my opinion, the Kiwi flavor is not to my liking. It is a little bit "Okay", but has a Nasty aftertaste. Others may like it, but for me, the aftertaste made me squirm on my first gulp followed by a "Mukasim-face." Other than the taste, the refreshing feeling of rehydration is still there just like any other Gatorade variant does.

For my verdict:  Even though its called Green "FURY", I think it is still just a Gatorade...with Lionel Messi on it.

I will still stick with my Orange and Grape variants.

Until next time,

Ciao!

“Oro” – The Rurouni Kenshin Costume Exhibit at ToyCon

"They should have also exhibited Makoto Shishio's costume. That would have been EPIC!"

Last week, the Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention 2014 (ToyCon 2014) was held at the SM Megatrade Hall for three days (June 20, 21, and 22 respectively). Personally, I wanted to take a visit there, but somehow a lot has got in the way (Work Schedule and stuff) that I was not able to do so.

That kinda sucks because there is one exhibit there that I was really looking forward to see and that is the Rurouni Kenshin costume exhibit. What is it? Okay, for starters it is an (official) exhibit sponsored by Warner Bros. Philippines in conjunction with the upcoming sequels of the Rurouni Kenshin film that was a sleeper hit back in 2012. This exhibit features the real costumes used in the film by Kenshin Himura (Takeru Satoh), Sanosuke Sagara (Munetaka Aoki), and Aoshi Shinomori (Yusuke Iseya). For a true blue Rurouni Kenshin fan like me, that is a “Must-See.”

Fortunately for me, my little sister had a planned visit on the second day of the convention, so I asked her to take some snaps of the exhibit and the costumes so that even though I cannot be there, through her lens, I will be able to see this exhibit with my own eyes. Here are the pics, peeps!

#WutTheEff - Anak ng Bawang! (Garlic prices are sky-high)

"Boy Bawang does not approve!"

Garlic - Expensive than Meat Nowadays
Recently, my little sister had a trip to Baguio and when she came back, she brought home some local Onions and Garlic/Bawang (the one I shot a pic for this post) because as she said, the price of those up north are cheap compared to buying the same items here in the Metro and you know what? She's damn right, especially with the "Bawang."

The Light-Up Tardis Kit: A Small Blue Box

“It is smaller..than my Mini Smartphone”

TARDIS

Fact is, I am a “Whovian”, a newly-christened Whovian.

For the benefit of those who do not know, a Whovian is what the fans of the longest-running British Science Fiction Series, Doctor Who, call themselves. It is my little sister who converted me to being a Whovian earlier this year (Oh my little sis, she always introduce me to new things, especially, TV series and stuff). She made me watch one “Special” and the rest is history.

Now, to give back something to my little sis, I decided I will get her something related to Doctor Who, which is technically, an official merchandise. What did I get her? A miniature of the Doctor’s Time Machine – The TARDIS, a Light-Up Tardis Kit.

Papa’s Two-Trick Pony Day (Birthday and Father’s Day in One)

“Dahil sabay ang Birthday mo at Father’s Day, Ultimate Dad ka, Paps!”

Last time, my post was about my wife’s birthday coinciding with Independence Day. Now, here is another special person having a birthday coinciding with another special occasion.

"M" is for Mondi
Meet my father, Ramon. Just like me, he has a lot of nicknames, (Sir Chief, Baby, Mondi, Mon, and my personal favorite, Mon-Ra) but I always prefer to call him Paps, a wordplay of Papa, but without losing the respect to him. The thing is, today is his Birthday and coincidentally, it is also Father’s Day, nice combo huh?!

Since it is two occasions in one, I cannot just let this day pass without writing a little bit about my “Paps” and what he means to me and to our family.

My Independence Girl (A Birthday Post for my Companion for Life)

“Having you is Independence, because you are my Independence Girl”

It is a couple of days since June 12, a very special day for the country because it is the day when we, Filipinos, celebrate our beloved homeland’s independence, so special that everybody celebrates it and the day, in fact, is a holiday.

For this blogger (yours truly), June 12 for me is special not only because of the above-mentioned reason. This day also happens to be the Birthday of a very special girl in my life; a girl that completes me - my other half, my wife, Antonette.

My Daughter and My Wife - I consider myself Lucky!

Since it is her Birthday, I want to write a little bit about what she means to me and of course, our family.

Reporting Back (From a Hell Month)

It has been a While since I posted here…so Little Time, too much to do

Unfortunately, I am no Time Lord and Time is the Boss of Me
Balancing a lot of stuff that you do in your life is really a hard thing to do:  Being a Father, a husband, an employee, an amateur photographer, the home techie guy, and of course being a "Novice Blogger" are just some of the things that are jockeying for position to get some of my precious time and because of that when one or two of those things suddenly required more attention (Just like a laptop that downloads a torrent sucks up all the available bandwidth in the network), the other things somehow gets neglected..unfortunately.

Recently, it has been hell and toxic at work (It lasted for almost a friggin 1-1/2 months) and due to that, a lot of blog posts that I was planning to do was regretfully put on the back burner and believe me - I had a lot of them. The only thing I was able to post was my Birthday Blog post, and I even posted it so LATE..sheesh!

Anyway, the good thing is I am back now and posting again.  I will never make the mistake of forgetting this blog again. I promised this blog and myself that I will do better and I am not backing down on that promise now.

Of course, my apologies for being away a little bit too long, I think you all deserve that.

Until next time,

Ciao!

"XXXI" - Time runs and so must I (My 31st Birthday Post)

They say that time flies, but for me, it RUNS...like a "Clever Boy", it Runs!

It's kinda funny that just when I am fully embracing the realization that I am friggin' 30 years old (That is typically me, it always take me almost a year after my birthday when I finally accept na tumanda na ako), then BOOM! Whad'Ya Know? Eto at 31 years old na pala ako!

To the most important Woman to everyone's life

Happy Mother's Day!

With the majority of the population (at least in my humble opinion) being women, it is a sure fire that most of us have at least a couple of important women in our lives.

It may be a friend/best friend, a teacher, a partner, or even a wife (if you are a guy). However, there is one woman who will always be an important and "constant" presence in our lives that they even have a special day that we celebrate once in a year - who else but our "Mothers", of course!

No Matter how big you become, admit it..You love your Momma!

#Yahtzee! - 500 Views..and counting

The thing about blogging is that the most fulfilling thing about it is when someone on the internet stumbled upon your blog and somehow - they saw something that tickle their fancy - they start to read one of your articles (and hopefully read another)

That, in the internet lingo is called a "View."

Now, views are hard to come by, especially if you are just a novice blogger like me, so when I logged in to this blog this morning and saw that I already had 500+ views, I cannot help but feel exhilerated about it.

I know, to others this may be a small feat, but for my part, this is somewhat of a milestone and something that is really important to me and I can't just let the feat pass by without posting something about it.

This post goes out as a marker for the feat and also as a "Thank You" to all the people who cared about reading some of the posts I did in this young blog of mine.

To all the guys and gals who dropped by this Blog O' Mine, you have my sincere gratitude. Thanks a lot!

Hmm...500 views ain't bad, now here is hoping this will shoot up to a thousand, Yahtzee!!!

Until next time,

Ciao!

#GYShiftBlues - Soy Milk goes Double Choco Loco

"A Chocolatey Soy Milk indeed"

Earlier at my shift (Graveyard Shift again of course), I was really feeling a little exhausted (a crash and burn effect I guess) so I head out to the nearest convenience store to have a fix and saw this new product:

Vitamilk Double Choco Shake

Okay, I am no stranger to Vitamilk Soy Milk products since I am drinking Soy Milk rather than Dairy Milk thingies (That is a perfect reverse of Carl Grimes favoring Baby Formula over Soy Milk) and I have tried all their varieties of soy milk offerings; the original, the energy variant, and the chocolate flavored (The Energy Variant being my favorite of the bunch). Seeing this new flavor toting the words "Double Choco" made me decide to quickly grab one and size it up.

Looks like Chocolait to me..
My Verdict:

I can say that this is the chocolatiest Soy Milk I have tasted so far. It is like you are drinking a chocolate drink rather than Soy Milk. I was satisfied that it lived up to the "Double Choco" appearing in its label. In my opinion, if you want to introduce someone to drinking Soy Milk, you better let him/her have this variant since you cannot tell if what you are drinking is soy milk or a chocolate drink in the first place. A chocolatey soy milk, indeed.

Where to get it:

Currently, it is only available at 7-Eleven outlets for around 24 to 27 PHP for a bottle (Not Bad!), but just like the other Vitamilk Soy Milk variants, it is safe to say that this variant will also be available in Supermarkets and Groceries in no time.

If you like Soy Milk, you definitely gotta try this one.

Until next time,

Ciao!

Welcome Back! Stay Safe. (And Avoid Dumb Ways to Hurt Yourself)

Enjoyed your Vacation? Now you get back to work...and to Reality of course!

I'm sure the Holy Week break gave a lot of us a deserved (albeit somewhat short) reprieve from our normal working days that can be somewhat stressful and punishing.

Unfortunately, It is a Monday again and you know what goes down on a Monday, right? "Back To Work" time and back to reality again for a lot of us.

Stay Safe on a Monday (and every day after)!

Stay Safe Everyone!...and avoid Dumb Ways to Die, Literally.

Until next time,

Ciao!

"Reflection/Selection"

Hey Guys and Gals! How did you spend your Holy Week, huh?

I think it got down to two things this past Holy Week especially if you are one of the working class; It is either you were able to have your much needed vacation by having a time off from your work or you "STILL" did work even if it is clear that you should be having a time off from work (Which the Company you work for does not understand because of "Ka-Ching!" reasons). If you do relate more with the latter, do not fret! I am one with you there.

Reflect and Select (The good and bad...that is!)
The thing is, even if you are on vacation or unfortunately, have to drag your feet to work, what is important is we are able to make the most out of the Holy Week. For me, I did a lot of "Reflection and Selection" - That is when I reflect on a lot of things - either good or bad - that I did and then "selecting" the good (and decide to keep doing it) and the bad (which, of course, I have to ditch) and looking forward to a better me (in the spiritual aspect) for the coming days.

I do hope we all did the most out of our Holy Week break.

Until next time,

Ciao!

The McDonald's BFF Fries - "A Kaiju lands in the Downtown"

Tag Team match? Anyone?!

If you are fan of the 2013 film Pacific Rim, then you are familiar with and know what a "Kaiju" means, right?

Okay, for the benefit of those unfamiliar, the Japanese term "Kaiju" means a strange creature in Japanese, but when translated and defined in English, it has a more Badass significance..."MONSTER", a BIG and GIGANTIC Monster, to be exact.

A few days back, a certain kind of "Kaiju" has landed on Philippine Shores, particularly in McDonald's outlets - The BFF Fries!

The Ayala Fairview Terraces - The Follow-up Review

Here comes a new challenger!

If you guys track back, I had a blog post about the newly opened Ayala Fairview Terraces a few weeks back. (You can view it here)

As promised in that article, here is the follow up for that post. We recently visited the mall again and this time around, in addition to the mall now fairly populated with shops, I also brought a better glass for my camera to shoot the place a little bit better. (My mistake last time was I brought a prime lens)

Now, I promised a review, so here it goes:

"Ichigaw mo cha Hangin"..Liwanag Sa Dilim!

UchuSentai:Noiz was not even in my Top five favorite J-Rock Bands...until NOW!

As for those who know me, I do love music, all kinds of it actually. However, the type of music which I consider close to my heart is Japanese Rock or "J-Rock" for short. I am a big fan of L'arc-En-Ciel and Vamps and obviously, Hyde.

On the other hand, in the local music scene, I dig the music genius of Mr. Rico Blanco (Which I consider as a GREAT influence, also).  I am a fan of him from Rivermaya Days up to his Solo endeavors recently. (I was even called Je-Rico Blanco by some of my close friends because of that)

There is this Visual Kei Band (Visual Kei being a subculture of J-Rock) that has been strutting their stuff lately and winning the hearts of local J-Rock fans here in the Philippines - that band is UchuSentai:Noiz.

The Newly Opened Ayala Fairview Terraces - Me and My Family's first visit

Recently, a new mall opened up at the Fairview area.

Being a resident on the North Caloocan Area, for the longest time (that is since 1997), the only mall lording it over in that area is SM City Fairview, so having an Ayala Mall being opened in the vicinity is a very WELCOME news for us.

#WutTheEff - Adele Dazeem Who? – The epic John Travolta Botch

Me and my family recently watched a downloaded version of the 86th Academy Awards which was originally aired on March 2, 2014 (March 3, 2014 in the morning, here in the Philippines). It was one helluva show especially with it being hosted by an exquisite comedienne of Ellen DeGeneres’ caliber...except for one thing:

A Post-Valentine Breakfast Date, Sealed with a (Chocolate) Kiss!

As much as I want to take my wife out for a date last Valentines Day, our busy schedules (We are both working parents) really did not permit us to have one.

Well, who says you can only have a date on the 14th?

Not being outdone, I discreetly planned a post-Valentines Day "Breakfast Date" with not only my wife, but also with our daughter on February 16, a Sunday - so we may call it a "Sun-Date", I guess.
