Kidzoona Ayala Fairview Terraces: A place that fosters Imagination

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
Albert Einstein

I remember back in the days when I was a kid that playing has been an important factor in my life. Through playing - especially role-playing - my imagination was stimulated and developed. Playing with my cousins and other kids in the neighborhood back then, there will be a day that I will play the role of a soldier, then a baker the next day, and even a public vehicle driver. It was fun and memorable, evidenced by how I remember it up to now.

Owing it to my mother, who allowed me to do those things back then, Me and my wife are also persuaded that playing and role-playing  is going to be one of the most important aspects in our daughter's life that we have to support so that she can also develop her imagination.

My daughter has this fondness to play areas in malls and we allow her to play on those whenever we have the chance. However, there is one new play hub that we visited lately and I have to say, that among the play hubs out there, I will highly recommend this one to take your kids to.

That will be the newly-opened Kidzoona at Ayala Fairview Terraces.

Since the place opened, our daughter never stopped hassling us about going there. Finally, when we got the chance, we  took her and she played there for 2 whopping hours.

Role-Playing is the star here

As I have said earlier, I believe in the power of role-playing in nurturing a child's growth and development and Kidzoona seems to agree with the idea too and supports it by dedicating a big part of their play area to a section called "Role Play Town."

The Role Play Town is an area at Kidzoona where there are a lot of little booths that your children can visit where they can be a fast food crew, doctor, nurse, baker, florist, market vendor, ice cream vendor, a homemaker, and a lot more. This section is going to make your child's imagination fly high, for sure! Our daughter, Allison, spent a lot of time at this section and she enjoyed to her heart's content.

One thing that I really liked about Kidzoona's Role Play Town is the booths and toys in it are educational, safe, and most of all, beautiful and fully detailed. I personally inspected them and they are all of good quality, feels good in the hand, and smells good too! (Yep, I smelled them too..just to be sure, right?)

Very Detailed, Good-Looking, and Safe Toys
Honestly, me and my wife also enjoyed playing with the stuff in the Role Play Town, it brings us back to our childhood. The good thing is, Kidzoona encourages the interaction of both parent and child through playing (evident as the entrance fee is good for one child and one guardian/parent).

Besides the Role Play Town, Kidzoona also offers other play areas for your little ones. There are giant inflatable barrels called Cyber Wheel which the kids will enjoy. A large inflatable bouncy mattress is also available where the kids can run and bounce around. There is a swim ball pool too, however it is not yet open when we visited, owing to the fact that the place is in its soft opening phase.

Update 10/12/2015:  We paid another visit at Kidzoona Fairview Terraces last weekend and the aforementioned swim ball pool is already up and running. Check it out when you have the time.

From the Big Ones to the Small Ones

Some children may not be fond of playing on big play areas with large toys and prefer smaller ones. Well, Kidzoona's got them covered too. There is an area where smaller toys are available ranging from wooden doll houses,  wooden replicas of train and railroads, and wooden puzzles and educational toys too.

Upon inspection of the toys, I am relieved and happy to say that there are no too sharp edges and loose parts (parts that can present a risk of choking) in their selection of toys and are really safe for younger kids to play. The toys are also light because they are made of wood and thus does not present risk of injury if they accidentally fall on our little children's toes.

Playing with Clay and Sand indoors? Gimme!

Since Kidzoona is a play hub area situated inside a mall, I never expected it to have an area dedicated for kids who loves to make sandcastles and unleash their creativity with clay, but Hey! They have it too.

The thing with sand and clay is they are messy to play with. However, I was surprised that in Kidzoona their clay is a bit moist does not have that messy feel and their sand is powdery. You have to get a hold of it to see for yourself. Anyway, since my little kiddo loves playing with clay, she for sure had her fit in this area.

Caters to Kids...and Parents too

There are areas for kids, right? Parents and guardians are not forgotten though as Kidzoona has a Parents Lounge - a designated area for (tired) parents/guardians where they can take a breather and relax. The amenities are great too as they have comfy chairs, a water dispenser station, and...wait for it..Free WiFi!

If for some reason, you have some stuff that you do not want to bring in the play area, Kidzoona has lockers along with their shoe boxes (Any footwear or shoe gear is not allowed in the play area for hygiene purposes) available free for use. Upon registration, the staff will assign a shoe box for you, if you need a locker, kindly ask the fellas and they will provide a key to a vacant locker for you.

One thing to note is that this Kidzoona branch is adequately staffed. They have enough number of attendants to assist and watch over the facility. They also keep the area clean and tidy and regularly arrange the toys in the play areas. They know which toys belong to which booth and area so there is no mix-up of things and stuff.

Now, does Kidzoona Ayala Fairview Terraces pique your interest and you want to bring in your kid/s there for an hour or two of fun? Good!  Now, here are some things to take note before you go visit the place:

*Admission rates are:  Php300 for 90 minutes or Php450 for 3 hours (Fees are inclusive of one child plus one adult).

*In the case that another adult wishes to enter, an additional admission of fee of Php150 is charged.

*Registration is a requirement. Take the time to read the rules and regulations in the registration form before making your payment and entering the premises.

*As mentioned above, any kind of footwear or shoe gear is not allowed in the play area, so make sure your child and the adults/guardians bring a pair of socks. You can buy socks at the counter for Php50 a pair, but you better bring your own pair/s (My tip will be bring thick ones).

*The Sofas and Free WiFi can be too enticing; however, we should always put the safety of our kids first so, when kids are playing, we should better keep an eye on them  since even in a safe place like Kidzoona, incidents can happen, right? You cannot expect the staff to look after your kid, it is your responsibility.

Not that hard to recommend

As a parent, I highly recommend Kidzoona as a go-to play hub for kids.  Kidzoona allows children to learn and have fun at the same time and fosters their growing imagination too as they support the importance and benefits of role-playing. The place provides safe, educational, and well-thought toys and facilities for them. Plus points for the Parents Lounge that other play hubs seem to lack.

Please like Kidzoona Aeon Fantasy Group Philippines on Facebook for more info about them and also locate other Kidzoona branches near you.

Have Fun with your kids and always remember the importance of playing in their development.

Until next time,

Ciao!
