Snaps and Thoughts 366 - My 2016 Photo Project (69/366)

Hey! You know the drill eh? Entry time again, peeps.

For this entry, I chose to post a photo of the toys that my daughter really loves to collect right now. You know, those little collectibles called "Shopkins."

My daughter has so far collected more than 30 of these little toys and I thought it will be a good idea to borrow some for a little photo-op. Also, this will be my first entry in this photo project which used my newly acquired flash gun.

So here it is
:
"Once you shop, you can't stop"

Here is the thing; these Shopkins are numbered at around 150+ unique and different designs per season and the seasons are now numbered four, so that is a LOT to collect if ever my daughter decides to collect them all. Yikes!

Until next time then,

Ciao!

Snaps and Thoughts 366 - My 2016 Photo Project (67/366)

Entry time again, peeps.

For this entry, I am posting a picture of my current mobile phones. Now, compared to other people who always make it a point that they are updated on their phones, I am going on an opposite route. For me, as long as something is still serviceable and can still do most of the things I need, I still use them and that goes for mobile phones too.

As you can see, I am using two old models; an iPhone 4 (Yep! That is a Four not a Four S) and an Xperia Mini Pro, both can be considered old units, but Hey! They still perform well and as far as I am concerned, they cannot be considered as obsolete units.

Here they are:

"Old Not Obsolete"

Now, why did I post this, you may ask? Well, it is a simple reminder that we have to set our priorities. New phones can be a pain in the ass to pay, financially and fact is, phones depreciate in value faster since models come and go. Your hard earned money needs to go to something more important than keeping up-to-date with techie stuff, right?

That is just my two cents, though.

Until next time then,

Ciao!

Snaps and Thoughts 366 - My 2016 Photo Project (64/366)

Hey! You know the drill eh? Time for another entry to my photo project. Now, this entry is a photography-related one.

I have been using a DSLR before I even started blogging and for as long as I can remember, I have been a very keen "natural light" kind of photographer as I prefer using ambient light rather than using a light source like an external flash.

However, times change and I have to admit that as I took more and more photos, I found that there are certain times and situations that I need an external flash. Long story short, I did give in and got myself a flash unit, here it is:

"Strobistmus"

I have been using it for a while and I have to say, it adds another dimension to my photography and I am happy with it.

Until next time then,

Ciao!
