Hey peeps! After what seems to be an eternity of having no entry for the ongoing "Eckogram" section, here is a new one! Yay!
First of all, I have to apologize for the delay of this new entry. There has been a technically-related problem that I had to deal with before I was able to produce this new one. I would not delve too much into that, but let me just say that it involves the pictures; since this is a photo diary, problem with pictures is a critical one, right? Anyway, the good thing is everything is A-Okay now.
Now let us get on with it, shall we?
Eckogram Entry 15:
1. Mommy Ziegler - About a couple of entries ago, you saw my daughter donning a wig, ala Maddie Ziegler of Dance Moms and Sia music videos fame. It turns out, my daughter was not the only who tried that wig on, here is her mom giving it a shot. Face sounds familiar? How about Sia? LoL!
2. For Close Encounters - The thing is, danger lurks around every corner, especially at night time. To address this, I carry one of these "four finger brass knuckles" whenever I go out at night on my GY shift. If worse comes to worst, a melee weapon is better than nothing at all. One hit on a bad guy's face with this will command a big advantage or buy time for me to run. As my cousin always say, Iba na ang makauna, di ba?
3. First Day Funk - Since our daughter is already a "three-nager" we decided to enroll her in a Summer Camp as a way to get her ready for the incoming school year. She was really excited to go to school on her first day. As you can see in the picture, she can be a candidate for the "Early Bird" award. Siya yata ang nagbukas ng school nung araw na yun.
4. Mucho Nacho - Situation at Hand: A big serving of Cheesy Bacon Nachos with Salsa. Need I say more? Galit-galit muna 'to!
5. Tough phones for the Tough Hombre - I for one do love the Caterpillar Brand (CAT) for their toughness, especially their line of shoes. Some of my shoes with the longest tenure are all from the CAT brand, so imagine my shock (like Shell Shock), when I saw that they are now producing a line of Smart (and dumb) phones. The first thing I said to myself when I saw these phones: "Are they effin' Bomb-proof?!"
6. Second Generation Gamers - Looking at this picture of my daughter and my niece playing video games, I cannot help but remember that this is exactly how me and my cousin (my niece's father) look like too when we were playing with the 8-bit and 16-bit consoles back then. Like father, like daughters, Uh-huh?!
7. The Ultimate Working Dad - In the spirit of "Labour Day", I posted this old identification card of my father when he was still working locally way back in the late 80s as a tribute to all of the achievements that the working class - like him - has achieved.
8. Free Comics? Gimme! - For the Comic Book industry the first Saturday of May is an important day because it is the celebration of Free Comic Book Day. It is a day when free comic books are given to attract new readers and give back to the people who continually support the industry. I had my share of free comic books too when I visited the local bookstore on that day. Having a Free Doctor Who comic book in my haul is an ultimate win for me!
9. Stars - After a week of Summer Camp, my daughter has been doing well in adjusting to schooling. She likes a lot of things in school, particularly, those "Star stamps" being given to them before going home. Here she is showing her hand to me and showing a number of stamps she earned for that day. Keep it up, kid! You have a long way to go.
Okay, now just like that - again, the Fifteenth entry is over. Thanks for dropping by and reading on. As always, stay tuned for the next
entry on this ongoing series.
Until next time
Ciao!
